Creating a new memorial

Go to Memorials and create a new memorial. You follow a short wizard:

  1. Details of the deceased (name, dates, photo).
  2. A web address for the memorial.
  3. The plan, and with it the period.

The family then gets access and the memorial can fill up with photos, videos and memories.

Active or archived

Every memorial has a period:

  • Active: the memorial is accessible and fully usable.
  • Archived: the period has ended. The memorial is no longer visible, but the data is kept for another 6 months.

Extending and reactivating

  • You can extend an active memorial at any time, from 1 month, via the settings of that memorial.
  • You reactivate an archived memorial by extending it by at least 3 months. Everything is then available again straight away.
  • If an archived memorial isn’t extended within 6 months, all data is permanently deleted. Managers receive warning emails in good time.

Access to the memorial

Memorials are private. Visitors request access via the share link or a QR code; the managers chosen by the family approve or decline requests.
