What is Remoria?
Remoria is a place to keep and share memories of someone who has passed away, together. For a loved one, a personal memorial is created with its own web address (for example name.remoria.eu). Family and friends can add photos, videos and stories there, so precious memories come together in one warm place and are kept safe.
I received a QR code or link. What do I do with it?
The QR code or link takes you to the memorial. Scan the QR code with your phone’s camera, or open the link in your browser. You’ll land on a page where you can request access to the memorial. You might find these QR codes on a funeral card or at the ceremony, for example.
How do I get access to a memorial?
Access takes a few steps:
- The manager or the funeral home shares the QR code or link with you.
- You open it and request access: you enter your name, email address and your relationship to the deceased.
- The manager of the memorial reviews your request.
- Once your request is approved, you create an account and you’re in.
Can I share memories myself?
Yes, as soon as you have access. You can share photos, videos and stories once the manager has approved your request and you’ve created an account. That way the family stays in control of who takes part.
Why can’t I see the memorial right away?
Memorials are private: only people whose access has been approved can see them. That’s intentional, so the family decides who can look and who can take part. Requested access but no reply yet? You’ll get an email as soon as the manager has handled your request.
Does it cost anything to share memories?
No, taking part is free. Anyone whose access is approved can share and view memories without limits. What you pay for is creating the memorial and keeping it online. The purchase includes a period (depending on the plan you choose). After that, the memorial can stay online through an extension that anyone with access can contribute to. Together you take care of the memories.
